Things would have been much simpler.

$22,000 can buy you one lot of our company's shares, but it cannot buy you a new brain to replace your rusty and stubborn old mind.

I attended the company's AGM today, in a hotel in Bugis, and then there was this old char bor whom i asked to move up. I wasn't even rude. I remembered the exact words I used, "Ma'am, if you don't mind, please move to the seats in front..."

Instead, she hollered, "You don't come and tell me to move in front. You go and tell the others as well."

"Yes, Ma'am. We'll be moving them later."

"Are you sure? I'm very sure you'll never succeed in telling them."

“Ma’am, it’s my job to tell you to move to the front. It’s your prerogative if you choose not to budge, but it’s my job.” I felt like adding, “since you’re here and already so old, I won’t want to quarrel with you. If you get a heart attack, I suppose even all the dividend that you get from your shares won’t be able to pay for your hospital fees!”

But of course, as the graceful person that I’ve always been, I shall not add on to it.

So the meeting went on and on, with lots of boring stuffs…

Then after that, I realise one thing. When the chairman announced, “I hereby declare the meeting over, please proceed to outside the ballroom for lunch reception…”

Before the chairman could finish his message, people were already standing up, eager to rush out.

When the staff pushed open the door, it was actually like the hell gates opening and hungry ghosts were rushing out of the door and towards the offerings laid outside.

Within minutes, all the food was gone. I suppose even Piranhas would be amazed at their speed of clearing the food.

WHAT?!?!?! There are even people who scooped lots of food onto the plate and then transferring it into the plastic bags that they brought along?!?!?!?! WTF!!!!

Wearing slippers and pushing the trolleys which you push to the market... Is that how you come into the hotel?

Haha. It all seems so comical right now.

Once again proven; Free Food = FUSB.
