I've always held on very strongly to the believe that nobody is indispensible.
that's the way it is, or at least, in my opinion, the world works like that.
I don't know why, but I kinda have a mixed feeling about SJ. There's this love-hate relationship in it. Admit it, it's between every single one of us in SJ. Not to mention the cadets, but officers too. Everybody bears a grudge against each other.
I dunno how to put it in words.
Lemme give you an example. we all solve problems differently. During the camp, we had a de-brief on the first night.
I raised the issue of us losing our focus for our ATC. because we are having too much "fun" activities in the camp.
now, my opinion is that:
1. this is a training camp. so all activities, if not, most of the time, should be devoted to training related matters.
2. is too much time spent on punishing and tekaning cadets, worse still, is for the gratification of the officers? is it for self glory? or is it really seeking to discipline the cadets?
3. are officers really prepared for this camp? I think since this is a training camp, we have to show discipline ourselves, before we discipline the cadets. if whoever is in charge does not show a good example, then there'e no way can are even fit to discipline the cadets.
yes, we are in poly. but do not forget. we are still in a uniformed group. so please. show some discipline.
I don't see why people from other corps can do it, how come we ourselves cannot do it.
the most obvious things. hair.
I think except for Kenneth (his hair style never changed, for your information), no body will pass a uniform check.
If you wanna come for camp, be prepared to be dressed the same way as your cadets before you talk to them.
if not, dun come out.
that's all.
ATC 2006.
