I watched as the rescue rope that I held on slipped through my fingers.
The fall was short. But images of the past flashed before me.
The impact of the landing hit me hard. I think I broke a rib, and punctured my lung, cause every breath that I'm drawing hurts.
I can't feel my legs, but I suppose it's bleeding. My legs feel so numb.
I can't move my hands to support myself up, as my shoulders and elbows are bent in such an awkward angle.
My vision is dyed red, I think it's the blood that's flowed into my eyes.
I'm losing consciousness.. I'm losing myself... I don't wanna die this way...
I wanna get up! I wanna get moving!
But. In life, do I have a choice?

Found an article I wrote some time back in Poly Year 1..
Topic: Failure
Enough of all the craps about achieving successes in your life. All of us are going to die of boredom by reading on if I am to write about this trash again.
Today I have the real stuffs that might intrigue some interest in you with me here.
Introducing the “Essential Rules to Failing in Life”
Rule number one; adopt a serious attitude problem in life. Always be stubborn and persistent in doing things your own way. Do not give a hood to what others say about you. After all, the society nowadays emphasize quite a bit on “personal style”, isn’t it? Be very determined to show the world that what you are doing is right, even at the expense of becoming the enemy of the state. “Never give up!” should always be the first thing on your mind when people tell you about the shortcomings of your work or products. Just tell yourself that they are just some stupid people who do not know how to appreciate your hard work.
Rule number two; forget about heeding advices from your parents, teachers or peers. They are the ones who will help you to be successful, which defeats the purpose of me telling you all these rules today. Please turn a deaf ear to what they are saying to you, then you will be able to fail, if you are lucky, you might even fail badly for your exams. I believe most of us have had enough of all the preaching that our teachers, parents or peers have given us. We simply cannot stand it anymore, can we?
Rule number three; always be proud of what you are doing, to add on it, display an air of superiority. Be confident of yourself; do not be affected by what others think of you or your work. If you think you are able to do it, they will learn to appreciate your hard work one day. After all, why do you always have to change yourself for others? Why can’t they change themselves to suit you, right? How will they understand you when they are not in your shoes? Do not be afraid when the world turn against you, stand firm on your grounds, I will give you my support. I can understand the agony of geniuses being misunderstood by others. Because I have been through the same thing. So do not worry when you are in such a situation, I am experiencing the same thing here too.
Rule number three; never admit that it is your fault. No matter what happens, never own up to your own mistakes or failures. That will be the last thing that you will ever do. By admitting to your mistakes, it will definitely bring about embarrassment. Everybody are afraid of failure and the embarrassment that it brings about. So try your best to push the blame onto other people or factors. You can blame whoever and whatever you wish to. Blame it on the lousy lightings in the examination hall when you fail in an exam, blame it on the problematic computer when you are unable to submit your proposal to your boss on time. Whatever it is, it is not your fault. Do whatever thing possible, because “losing face” is probably the worse thing to happen on any human being on this planet.
Rule number four; always remember that you cannot do it and trust me, my pal, you will never make it! Mentality is probably the most powerful thing that can affect a human. None of us are born losers, neither are we born winners! Always never try to think that you are able to do something, when you know you are unable to do it. Why waste your time and effort doing all these things when you know you can’t do it? All of us are clever people, aren’t we? We will definitely not waste our time doing these stupid things.
Rule number four; do not hope for success. The definition of success is simply the opposite of failure and since my point here is to introduce to you the rules to failing, so please comply with these rules and stop reading articles that will affect your way of thinking as those are totally trash. Have you ever noticed books that teaches people on how to succeed in life are still left unsold on the shelves in the bookshops? Those are the books that will not even help you a single bit. They are just books written by people who are lucky enough to succeed. They are trying to earn money by writing some trash here, hoping that some day somebody will buy their books. But us, being the intelligent geniuses, will definitely not believe their craps, would we?
Rule number five; after each failure, moan and cry about it to let people know that you have really put in effort in what you did but still failed. Maybe we can make a big “hoo-ha” about our failures and others might review what we have done and probably even accept our work. It is really hard to let people really understand the excruciating pain we experience in our heart when we face rejection by the society, even though we think that what we have done is perfectly flawless.
The last things that I have to say to us, intelligent people, is that, nobody like to fail actually. But failure is probably part and parcel of our life and like it or not, failure is inevitable in our lives. All of us will just have to learn to face them as we go on in life.
Success, everybody yearns for it. Nobody will dislike it. All we have to do is to simply break the rules stated above and we, the geniuses, will definitely be the successful people of tomorrow. I am sure, we again, the elites, would be able to build a better society for ourselves tomorrow.
