And Now, Ladies and Gentlemen, the receiver of the Silver Bayonnet are as follows:

.....

CPL Ong Shen Yang!

...

Receiving the Silver Bayonnet was like a milestone in my army career so far. As one of the Platoon's best trainee, I'm bringing all that I have learnt into the new unit that I'm posted to.

The rank of a 3SG did not come easy, and it signifies the responsibilities and the amount of work load that is lying ahead of me. Everything is going to be tough, but as usual, I shall not give up that easily. After all, I have worked so hard.

I'm going to be a good sergeant and lead my men well. Hope everything will go smoothly.

According to what the 2IC said, the men might not come in until May, so meanwhile, I'll just have to wait until they come in then we will tekan them jia lat jia lat and then build them from scratch. It's always like that de. First few days have to whack them, then after that treat them nice again. It's the same everywhere we go, isn't it?

"No compromise on the standards" was the advice given by my BSLC PC when I went back to visit him yesterday. I'm really very thankful for all that he has done for us during our BSLC period. I hope everything will be smooth-sailing for him and I wish him good health.

May the world be a better place and that there's no war!

World Peace!
